Troubleshooting

Start here before opening Discord. Include your Windows version and the Ionize version from the status bar if you still need help.

The app does not open

• Confirm 64-bit Windows 10/11. 32-bit Windows is not supported.
• Install Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime if Windows reports it missing.
• Check antivirus quarantine for Ionize.exe and the resources folder.
• Run from a folder you can write to, or accept the LOCALAPPDATA workspace.

Updates fail

• Use only https://files.ionize.cc through the in-app updater.
• A failed signature or SHA-256 check means the file should be discarded.
• See Updates and Security.

License or device mismatch

• The first device seen is bound to the account.
• Use the Discord /resethwid command to move machines. Resets are rate-limited.
• Do not buy replacement keys from unofficial sellers. Official checkout is getionize.cc.

Scripts are missing

Check the path printed in Explorer. Portable copies use folders next to the exe. Installed copies use %LOCALAPPDATA%\Ionize.
